Where we are (The surrounding Territory)

We are in the green heart of Italy, in the heart of Umbria and in the center of the Umbrian Valley (or Spoletana Valley), which gathers the main destinations of the area within a few kilometers, such as Assisi, Spello, Perugia, Spoleto, Montefalco, Foligno, Trevi, Bevagna...

In particular, we are located in Collepino, at an altitude of 600 meters above sea level on the eastern slopes of Mount Subasio and its protected Park. We are in the municipality of Spello (7 km / 10 minutes by car from the city center) in a small late medieval village/castle surrounded by woods and perched on a promontory overlooking the Valley (of which St. Francis said he had never seen anything more beautiful...). It offers an invaluable view of Foligno, Trevi, Montefalco, and even Spoleto (on clear days).

The village, very peaceful, is home to no more than 30 people on a permanent basis, a inn/wine bar, a restaurant, a church with Sunday Mass... in the summer, given the cool and breezy climate, it comes alive with new residents and hosts various events, musical, cultural, sports, and gastronomic... it is considered a "Place of Silence."

It is entirely pedestrian and has several free parking lots just a few tens of meters from the houses, with the possibility of getting even closer for loading/unloading.

Built at a time when sharing and conviviality were important values, it still maintains this spirit today and is also lived outside: the alleys, squares, and surrounding green areas are "equipped" with tables, benches, stone ovens, BBQs, and picnic areas for those who want to use them.

The proximity (8 km) to the highway that connects Spoleto to Perugia, the Perugia/Assisi international airport (25 km), the Foligno railway hub (12 km), and the Freccia Rossa services in Perugia (35 km) guarantee convenient and frequent connections with the rest of Italy and some European cities, whether you come by car or choose to use a plane or train.

We are about a couple of hours from Rome and Florence, an hour from the sea in the Marche region... a unique base to enjoy and experience the natural, historical, artistic, spiritual, cultural, and gastronomic beauties of Umbria and all of Central Italy, away from commercial tourist flows.
