The Abbot's Garden is an independent house with direct access from one of the village squares, entirely pedestrian, and is among the first houses encountered once past the main entrance of the village under the characteristic pointed stone arch, just a few steps from free parking. It too dates back to 1548 and was part of the residence of the historic figure of the Abbot of Collepino.
It's a very spacious house, with stone walls, terracotta floors, and a roof with exposed chestnut beams. It's on two floors (with a wide staircase of 12 steps and a handrail), both above ground and both with access to the delightful small exclusive garden equipped with deck chairs, armchairs, a bench, and a large umbrella, an outdoor shower.
Immersed in many varieties of flowers, aromatic herbs, and scents, one is enchanted by the spectacular view of the valley that clearly shows Trevi, Montefalco, and, on clearer days, even Spoleto.
Access to the house is through a long terrace where one can enjoy the view, the breeze, and, thanks to a small table with chairs, have breakfast or an aperitif at sunset admiring the panorama.
The house opens onto a small living room with a fireplace at the center, two comfortable sofas, and a corner with a desk for those who need to work or study. The Smart TV (with Netflix and PrimeVideo), 43 inches and high resolution, can also be used as a monitor connectable via wi-fi.
The kitchen, directly connected to the living room, is simple, functional, and modern with all the conveniences (induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, generous size no frost refrigerator, a pantry...); particularly striking is an ancient chestnut table made by a local artisan... it can accommodate 6-8 people in a cozy and very pleasant setting.
A large bathroom with a shower and washing machine complete the floor.
Descending to the lower floor, a long corridor ending with a French door overlooking the garden opens to two beautiful and comfortable double bedrooms (one facing the pedestrian alleys and the other directly onto the internal garden) and a large bathroom complete with a shower.
The possible fifth guest can sleep on a comfortable fold-away bed in one of the two bedrooms or move upstairs and enjoy their independence thanks to the bathroom on the same floor.
It's possible to add one or two children's beds.
The house is quiet and peaceful, has mosquito nets on all windows, is very cool in the summer (on average we have 4-6 degrees less than Spello and Foligno), is always ventilated and does not require air conditioning. In the evening it is pleasant to sleep with a light duvet.
We apply discounts on the rates, based on the number of nights: from 4, 7, 14, 21, 28.
