Prospective visitors, you are looking at a beautiful family home converted to a AirBnB sitting in a small mountain village only 8 mins drive from one of the most beautiful towns in Umbria, the town of Spello. Your host, Alessio is the sweetest Italian we have met in our whole Italian journey. It is a real home away from home with fireplace, comfy sofa, two beds (and sofa bed if needed), fully equipped kitchen, laundry and central heating. You need a car, but that’s needed for Umbria anyway. Alessio is so helpful with recommendations and even helped us out with a reservation. Alessio, thank you for the best part of Ami and I’s Italian dream holiday.

Die Unterkunft Abbot's Garden ist ein Traum: Die Aussicht ist fantastisch, das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und geräumig eingerichtet, hat alles was es braucht und liegt inmitten eines sehr schönen Gartens. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Am Abend kann man gut in der Unterkunft kochen. Das Dörfchen ist sehr idyllisch. Die Kommunikation mit Alessio war äusserst angenehm, er ist ein freundlicher und zuvorkommender Gastgeber. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

La Casa dell’Abate is a beautiful apartment with elegant furnishings and decor. It has a sleek, modern kitchen. Collepino is a perfect location for a quiet retreat or as a base for hiking on Mt Subasio. Spello is an easy 4k downhill trek. Our hosts, Alessio and Alessandra, were absolutely wonderful! They were very friendly and shared so much about Umbria. Alessio also helped us with wine recommendations and transportation. The village has great views of the mountains and has a good restaurant and a bar which featured live music on Sunday. We really didn’t want to leave…this is a very special place.

This place is an absolute gem 🤩 The house itself is modern, super comfortable, perfectly clean, fully accessorised and a pleasure to be in. Collepino is a delightful place with its higgledy-piggledy houses and alleys all beautifully clean and a joy to explore. The drive to Collepino is not for the faint-hearted with its switchbacks and hairpin bends on very steep inclines but you do get used to it after a few goes. Alessio is by far the best host we have ever had the pleasure to meet. His attention to detail is impeccable. He simply could not have been more helpful; from meeting us and showing us around the property, to arranging a delicious food platter for our late arrival, to providing the most detailed information about the area and what we might like to see and do - he’s the host who goes the extra mile for his guests! This was our favorite Air bnb stay so far! Alessio’s place had the most beautiful view and is truly a hidden gem. the rental was clean, had all of the amenities we needed, and felt like we were truly in a cozy, comfortable home. We had the pleasure of staying in the small, picturesque town in of Collepino and it was an unforgettable experience. The town is a hidden gem, offering a perfect blend of beauty, history & tranquility. Our hosts Alessio & Alessandra were absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel welcome and like family. They provided us with excellent recommendations for restaurants and attractions, ensuring we experienced the best of what Umbria has to offer. Their hospitality went above and beyond, including a warm welcome and thoughtful touches throughout the property and a detailed guide to the area. The accommodation was warm, inviting, clean, and beautifully decorated, reflecting the charm of the town. The views from the property were stunning, with rolling hills dotted with olive orchards creating a postcard-perfect scene. The town’s narrow streets and friendly locals made our stay a delightful adventure. This is one, if not my most favorite, Airbnb stays of al time.

Alessio und Alessandra sind wunderbare Gastgeber - nach dem persönlichen Empfang mit Hausführung gaben sie uns super Tipps für unseren Aufenthalt in Umbrien. He even put together a several-page document of potential things to do during our stay based on our interests. Collepino is a charming little village that was a terrific base for exploring Umbria for a few days. Be aware that you’ll need to navigate a narrow, winding road to get there - it’s no problem once you’re used to it, but could be a bit challenging for first-time drivers in Italy. Would happily stay with Alessio again if we are fortunate enough to return!

We stayed at 4 great places on our 2 week trip to Italy......this was our family's favourite! It truly felt like home. Alessio and Alessandra were exceptional to deal with. This place is what Airbnb was made for. An absolutely stunning and charming place that offers a truly unique experience of Italy. Alessio has thought of absolutely everything, we had more amenities than at any other place we stayed, and so many extras that were such a lovely surprise. It seems Alessio truly wanted us to have a good time. He wrote a three page itinerary for us to use, which was detailed and full of information about the area. The only problem we had was that our stay was way too short. I recommend a minimum of 5 days here. There is so much to explore in nature and the cities nearby. And it’s fun to hang out in Collepino. We even had live music one evening in our tiny town. Perfection. Comfortable beds, beautiful kitchen, light and bright. Just wonderful! Book this place, you won’t regret it.

Our stay in Alessio and Alessandra’s home was by far and away the highlight of our travels, and the best experience we’ve had with any Airbnb. The home was impeccably clean, with beautiful and comfortable furnishings. The town itself is magic and it was very easy to lose track of time there. Alessio and Alessandra are warm and incredibly generous, and were a wonderful insight into the Italian way of life and some of the incredible history of the area. A highlight for us was the cooking class and dinner they organised at l’Aia dell’Abate, a small courtyard just out of the village that looked out over the valley below. The stars, the fire, even the sound of wild boar .. it was all just magic.

My husband and I and our two friends loved our stay in Collepino. The house is perfect for two couples and the setting is almost indescribable, the views and village are perfection. Alessio was incredibly helpful, offering countless suggestions and helping us rent bikes and find hikes. The bike ride to Alessi through the small towns and olive orchards was a real highlight. We also loved day-tripping to neighboring towns including Montefalco and Trevi. Umbria is such a treasure, green and relatively undiscovered.

Alessio place was one we won’t forget! It’s situated on the top of a mountain near Spello and has some interesting history. It was a beautiful spot and very serene. The weather was a bit cooler and cloudier than expected but Alessio provided sight seeing itineraries with great lunch stop recommendations. We wanted to take a hike into the mountains - Alessio provided several excellent suggestions. We were struggling to get a table booked at a popular restaurant. He stepped in and kindly booked it for us. The place is great but having the chance to experience it with local insights was really special.

We absolutely loved our stay in Alessio’s Collepino house. The village is like a beautiful time capsule in the hills above Spello, with spectacular views across the Umbrian plains. The house was perfect! Super clean and incredibly stylish with a big open fire, very comfortable beds and a kitchen with modern appliances. We ate breakfast each morning on the terrace with unobstructed views across Umbria. We could not have asked for a better host than Alessio. He greeted us at the house and was so warm and friendly, we immediately felt at home. In advance of our arrival, he had sent a very comprehensive PDF of places to visit, wine tours, local hikes and best of all, great restaurants in most of the main towns. The house is beautifully decorated, which makes a whole difference for the atmosphere of being on holiday. We see how much attention is put into the house, it shows everywhere. There are different locations for lounging…2 comfy sofas in the lounge, in the garden- at day time and at night with all the lanterns and light strings - there’s a magical atmosphere. Sitting on the balcony drinking wine and watching the sun set… There’s lovely soap/ shampoo etc locally made in Spello and lovely flowery scent all over. In the kitchen you have what ever you need for preparing food and the dishes are very nice. There’s coffee and tea. The bed is very comfortable. And of course thanks for all the information, we were sent a book of information before arriving! And thanks for answering all our questions with patience… We will definitely book again.

This apartment and location are, in a word, perfection. Our stay was made only more magical thanks to Alessio's warm and helpful hosting. He was responsive and made great suggestions on restaurants, grocery stores and activities. The pictures don't do the apartment justice. It is both cozy and spacious at the same time. We felt so at home and so relaxed. It is pristinely clean, comfortable, and well organized. The patio is spectacular and we enjoyed wine and snacks on it before our short drive to dinner. Collepino is a small and tranquil hilltop community, and the views and air were restorative. Although it is private and reached by a winding mountain road, it is also very close to several other towns like Spello, Foglino and Assisi--each of which we visited. There was so much to do, see and eat. It is a lively area, but I am so grateful that we decided to make it--and more specifically Alessio's home--our home base. It was incredibly special. Don't hesitate to book it!

My fiancé and I agree, this was one of the best Airbnb’s we have ever stayed. What I didn’t realize is this home is in the town of Collepino, a small medieval village located high above the valley. The view from this home is incredible. The town is a few little brick streets and alleys, exactly what you’re dreaming of on your Italian vacation. Also Umbria in general is a beautiful region. We were not sure if we were going to include it as part of our trip across Italy, but so glad we did. I wish we could have stayed longer. Alessio is the best host, very attentive to our every need and went above and beyond with his hospitality. I couldn’t recommend this home enough.

We’ve stayed in many Airbnb’s over the years and this has to be our favorite! The combination of historic charm and feeling so comfortable and right at home, was perfect! Alessio and Alessandra’s place was spotless and had everything we needed. From the soft lighting, to the fireplace, cozy bedding and every amenity we could need, our experience was a 5/5 in all areas! Alessio was excellent at communicating, from beginning to end and provided us with very detailed and thoughtful recommendations during our stay. A highlight for us was definitely the private cooking class that Alessio was able to organize for us, it’s an experience we enjoyed very much! I've stayed in quite a few places in Italy, and without a doubt, Alessio's was the loveliest ever. The village of Collepino is delightful, and Alessio's house is gorgeous. Everything was perfect! He and Alessandra have thought of everything. We could not have asked for kinder or more attentive hosts, or for a more beautiful location. We made many day trips around the neighborhood (with lots of helpful information from Alessio) and had some lovely walks, but would have been equally happy relaxing in the garden and having a pint at the local bar (just a short walk from the flat). Be sure that you visit—the owner, Flavio, is delightful! My only regret is that I couldn't stay longer, and I know in my bones that I'll be back.
If you are looking for a beautiful, restful, inspiring spot, this is the place for you! Spello, just minutes away, is lovely, too. But it is Collepino and its residents that are the real gift here.

Our family of 5 loved our stay in Collepino. The little village is gorgeous and quiet but very close to Spello and other beautiful towns for day trips. Our host was fantastic and always went above and beyond to make us feel at home. He gave us lots of recommendations on places to visit and organised a chef at home experience where we learned to make pasta from scratch and then enjoyed it as part of a 3 course meal. Despite the beautiful surroundings, we never wanted to leave our perfect garden hideaway, and coming home each day to that view took our breath away. We can’t say enough good things about Alessio’s hospitality. He personally met us when we arrived and he went above and beyond to help us find restaurants and interesting local places to visit. The apartment was so cozy and gorgeous! Alessio had a fire burning in the fireplace when we arrived and it smelled wonderful. He even had electric blankets on the bed to warm the sheets before bed time. The kitchen was well stocked with coffee and tea and the bathrooms were very clean and stocked with the best-smelling shampoo and soap. The garden patio has an incredible view and the landscaping includes a fountain and lush flowers and plants. If we are ever lucky enough to return to this magical place in the mountains we hope to stay in Alessio’s apartment again.

If I could give an Airbnb more than 5 stars, then this would be it. Alessio's property is absolutely charming and located in a peaceful hamlet with the most amazing views. The house is incredibly well appointed... they have literally thought of everything. This attention to detail is what helps makes this place so special. We usually try not to arrive at the destination after dark. We were welcomed by Alessio who waited for sometime despite us being late. The late arrival was a positive. The place was cozy and warm with the fire place going. Twinkling lights and a Christmas tree set the scene. Topped with Christmas decorations it was rather magical. The village is also a special place - car free with narrow cobbled streets steeped in history. The place is stylishly decorated and host is caring and checked in on us regularly. Good hosting is getting rare in Bnb’s these days and it was a refreshing change. It’s the good natured Italian hospitality. Much appreciated. The drive up and down from Spello maybe daunting but you get used to it after the first run. Would recommend Ristorante La Cantina in Spello. We had one of our best dinners there during our trip to Italy. It was on the top of Alessio’s list of dining options. Loved our stay here.

How do we leave more than 5 stars? We had an absolutely amazing stay in Collepino where we felt right at home. If you are looking for a place to stay in Umbria — or Tuscany (easy day trips!) — or actually, anywhere in Italy — this is your spot. Alessio and Alessandra are the ultimate hosts, providing personalized recommendations and helping organize unique experiences for us in the area (we were able to visit a typography studio with the 1840 press that printed the first edition of “The Betrothed”). Highly, highly recommend for a special holiday with seamless communication, the friendliest hosts, comfortable beds, a fireplace (!)… literally everything you need. The home itself was extremely warm and comfortable with cozy Christmas decorations for the season where you can really feel the care and attention that goes into making this place a home. Thank you Alessio and family for a truly special stay. We hope to be back soon!

Everything was extraordinary! We absolutely loved our stay and give it our highest possible recommendation. Alessio was warm, friendly, responsive and helpful for the entire duration of our trip — he and his wife are the kind of hosts all should aspire to be. The place itself was absolutely wonderful, with the most incredible views, lovely ambiance, relaxing garden, and peaceful and private location. Everything was exceptionally clean and the beds are super comfortable. The historical, medieval hamlet of Collepino is spellbinding, just a few short minutes drive down the mountain to Spello yet a world away. There’s even a popular restaurant a few steps away (we regrettably didn’t get a chance to try it). If you get a chance to book a stay at Alessio’s place, don’t hesitate. You’ll love it and you’ll love the gracious hosts!

Alessio's place was perfect for our week-long stay with two couples in Umbria. The tiny village of Collepino is just 10 minutes up a narrow, but very lightly traveled road from Spello. The apartment has nice views from the upper deck and a relaxing lower deck area when the weather is warm. Check in and out was very easy and Alessio was very responsive. Very convenient to Spello, Assisi, Spoleto, Perugia and other beautiful towns in Umbria. We would love to come back!

Collepino is absolutely magical. A beautiful, tiny town set in a most dramatic and picturesque location in Umbria. The apartment/house is imaculate and has all the modern conveniences, while at the same time retaining its history and charm. Alessio was friendly, helpful and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. For those in our group who liked walking and hiking it was ideal, while at the same time those who just wanted to take in the peaceful atmosphere and quiet it suited them too. The apartment is beautifully appointed, and care has been taken to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. We all want to go back!

Alessio’s house is spacious, comfortable and in a spectacular setting. Collepino is a tiny, quiet and charismatic village only 5km from Spelo, which is a beautiful town. Alessio communicates well about all matters, met us at check-in and gave fantastic helpful advice about the entire area, even down to where to find parking in the surrounding towns. And we had a wonderful dinner at Collepino’s only restaurant.

The accommodation was full of character, wonderfully decorated and with many smaller details that made the stay memorable. The location was quiet and was a contrast to the time spent in the major Italian centres. Plenty of walks in the area and for trips to the many wonderful Umbrian towns and villages the position is central. Of course being such a small settlement you need to drive to access amenities and food, but once settled in is such a wonderful spot. Our host was very helpful recommending local restaurants and preparing itineraries for us. Always responsive to requests and booking restaurants when needed. A great host!

In my many years of traveling, I have never encountered more gracious or charming hosts than Alessio and Alessandra. These two have a tremendous gift for hospitality and they made us feel like long-lost friends stopping in for a visit. Their enchanting home is nestled in Collepino, a delightful Umbrian hilltop village filled with plenty of local flavor and about two dozen lifetime inhabitants. Take a stroll in the evening and you’ll find these neighborly octogenarians gathered and sitting on stoops like teenagers, hanging out and chatting it up. My wife and I lamented that our limited faculty with Italian precluded our ability to join in. Instead, we watched the sunset behind the olive tree-blanketed hills from a community terrace at the top of the village. The home itself is more beautiful than the photos and every detail has been carefully seen to. These hosts have put great thought into creating a special place for you. Book now!

Kurz gesagt, es war ein Traum!!! Wir haben collepino sehr genossen, kleiner gemütlicher Ort, keine Autos und herrliche Ruhe. Die Unterkunft ist wahnsinnig gemütlich und hat von der Terrasse einen fantastischen Blick übers Tal. Alessio ist ein herausragender Gastgeber, jederzeit erreichbar, hat uns tolle Tipps für Ausflüge gegeben und ein Olivenöltasting organisiert. Die Wohnung lässt keine Wünsche offen, eine super ausgestattete Küche, gemütliche Sitzecke mit Kamin und zwei ruhige Schlafzimmer mit sehr bequemen Betten. Alessio hat dort ein kleines Paradies geschaffen und war zu jederzeit bemüht, dass es uns an nichts fehlt! Ein Muss für jeden, der ein außergewöhnliches Quartier sucht.

Si quieres conocer Umbria y al mismo tiempo tranquilidad, la casa del Abate es perfecta, porque en Collepino se respira silencio. Eso sí, imprescindible coche. En cualquier caso, acertamos sin duda en quedarnos en Collepino. La casa es una maravilla y Alisio y Alessandra son de los mejores hosts que hemos tenido. We had the best time in Collepino. As we climbed the hill to the small village it was clear this was a special place. After five days in the beautiful home we didn’t want to leave. Alessio went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We had traveled all day so I asked if we could arrange a picnic dinner. Alessio had this beautiful food waiting for us when we arrived. Der Garten und der Blick ins Tal von Spoleto sind ein Stück Himmel, anders kann man es nicht beschreiben. Es ist noch schöner als auf den Fotos dargestellt. Alessio ist der tollste Gastgeber, den man sich vorstellen kann. Er ist kommunikativ, total hilfreich, herzlich, flexibel und seine Begeisterung für die Umgebung zeigte sich in seinen zahlreichen ganz konkreten und persönlichen Tipps für Unternehmungen und Ausflüge, Restaurants etc. Es fiel uns am Ende unserer Zeit in Collepino wirklich schwer, diesen besonderen Ort zu verlassen. Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Wir empfehlen die Unterkunft von ganzem Herzen und hoffen, dass wir es vielleicht nochmal nach Collepino zurückschaffen.

Words can not explain how beautiful the Abate, and surrounding area is. So stylishly, yet homely, decored with all the amenities you need. The kitchen was fabulous to cook in with all the utensils and crockery needed to whip a delicious meal. Alessio is the best host I have ever stayed with. His care and kindness harken back to the days of actual service, a friendly presence, and a human concern to make our time enjoyable and comfortable. The place is a gorgeous historic home that is built into the winding cobblestone streets of a restored castle village. The town has a bar for a morning cappuccino or an afternoon spritz that often has live music. There is one restaurant in town and it has some of the most consistent and quality food in the area. If by chance those are closed, Spello. Assisi and Foligno are short drives with amazing gelato, sights and restaurants.

I would need to write pages to describe how wonderful this place is. The place exceeded our expectations and Alessio is a fantastic host. This is the best of both worlds - a truly authentic Italian home with modern amenities. We spent a lot of time on the patio in the garden which was magical. Gorgeous flowers and herbs and butterflies. The house smelled great and was very clean. The view is amazing and there are lots of beautiful walks right out the front door. The little restaurant and bar were very fun with quality food. It was a short drive or about a 90 min walk to Spello which is a gorgeous town as well. The wineries in the area are wonderful. Assisi is a short drive. It was a truly perfect place to relax and really enjoy Italy. You will need a car for this location but we didn’t find it too challenging driving around Italy. Overall I highly recommend this experience for anyone looking to experience the beauty and ambiance of Umbria. Thank you Alessio!

The hype is real, this place is all that and more. The first impression- WOW!! The last words - We don’t want to leave yet. This place is a little piece of heaven and the hosts are amazingly thoughtful people. We spoke to Alessio and his daughter for about 30 minutes during the check-in yet felt like we were chatting with old friends. Alessio was genuinely kind, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special and comfortable. He provided us with great local recommendations. This home is clean with all the essentials; quite spacious but felt quaint. There are tons of hiking paths around the house, we hiked up to Monte Subasio and on to Assisi on our second day, and walked the surrounding area the following day. This was the most surreal place we’ve ever been. You stay in the hills in a small medieval village with incredible views. Collepino is such an absolute gem. So quiet and away from everything but also ideally nestled in such close proximity to Assisi and Spello. We thoroughly enjoyed soaking up the peace and beauty of the surrounding countryside taking both long and short day trips. There is so much rich culture and history right and one's fingertips. Alessio and Alessandra were so incredibly warm and welcoming. Their home was just the perfect place to recharge in during our week's stay there. We never wanted to have to face leaving it was so comfortable and so neatly adorned. The beds were extremely comfortable and the house had everything we needed. Whether you are taking jaunts to Spoleto, Assisi or Todi (highly recommend an easy hr away) Collepino is perfect. This was far and away one of our utmost favorite Airbnb choices of many, many trips. It is hard to capture in words how terrific was our stay at Alessio and Alessandra’s home in Collepino. A magical visit to a gorgeous Umbrian hill town. The home is wonderfully comfortable, furnished with so much care and beauty, the beds are very good, the garden is beautiful. The view from the deck down into the valley is spectacular. Alessio met us at the car park on the town’s edge, helped us with our bags and showed us around. He made reservations for us at the simple restaurant around the corner and in the days after was prompt with replies to any questions about the home or the area. Alessio and Alessandra seemed sincerely intent on making our stay as nice as it could be. A complete success.

Wow! We have been to Italy 4 times and have found the small village of Collepino one of the most beautiful places to stay. Alessio’s home was better than the pictures. His warmth and generosity was best of any Air BnB experience we have had. We had poor cell service and a longer than expected drive to Collepino, but he did not give up on us. When we arrived he had a fire lit in the fireplace and was so cheerful and upbeat. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the fireplace was a joy to use. Stay here! If you are in the area. Sadly, Air BnB only has 5 stars, because Alessio, his home and Collepino would all get 10 if I could!

It’s hard to put into words the wonder of Collepino which literally found me late one night as I was planning our first trip to Italy The experience is like none we have ever had and all in part by staying in this incredibly beautiful house that is not only extraordinarily designed and put together but is filled with family love which made us feel right at home by just opening the door with our hosts and their son and daughter Nothing could have been better Comfortable beds and fresh linens and towels , perfectly stocked kitchen , living and dining space so welcoming - a fire in the fireplace - cozy places to read and the restaurant and small bar was just and added touch after a day of hiking and exploring Umbria Our hosts were simply the best ! If you want a magical retreat with wonderful people in a beautiful valley in Italy - this won’t disappoint. We had a hard time leaving and look forward to returning !

My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Alessio's place in Collepino. We loved it so much we extended our stay. This is a place where you can slow down, take your time, explore the surroundings and truly have a slow travel vacation. The views are incredible and we enjoyed morning coffee and afternoons on the patio with the amazing view. The place is incredibly clean and very well stocked. The two comfortable bedrooms worked perfectly for us and our young child. Collepino itself is wonderful - one cafe/bar, one restaurant and one church. We met some of the neighbors and got to know a few of the locals. We cherished our time in the town and hope to be back. Lastly, Allesio made our stay even better with his thorough and prompt communication. He and his family helped us in so many ways and we are grateful to have found their place in Collepino. We'll do what we can to be back in the future.

Highly recommended! One of our favorite homes! My husband and I stayed for four nights in the wonderful village of Collepino - a well kept medieval town with cobblestone pedestrian only streets, and gorgeous views. We stayed in quite a few air bnbs throughout our two week trip to Italy and honestly this was our favorite! The house is beautifully decorated, super comfortable beds, lots of space great hot water showers, a porch area overlooking the mountains and valley and a lovely lush landscaped private garden. There is free parking really close to the house which was an extra gift considering how parking can sometimes be a hassle in the area..The town is very quiet with no stores etc but there is a good restaurant (we ate there twice) and a Bar where we picked up coffee in the mornings. We used the house as a base to explore the region… Spello is the closest town about 15 minutes away , worth visiting and with some wonderful restaurants! Lastly, the hosts were so kind and checked in with us several times to make sure everything was ok! We loved the place and hope you will as well!

La casa e’ meravigliosa, arredata con gusto e pulitissima, si trova in un piccolo borgo vicino a Spello. Qui puoi trovare tutti i confort, una bella tv e un’ottima connessione con la quale ho potuto lavorare. C’è tutto quello che serve per passare piacevoli momenti di relax. Our time in Collepino hosted by Alessio and Alessandra in this beautiful hilltop village was the highlight of our trip to Italy. Their apartment is private, well stocked with everything needed, is very comfortable and provides wonderful views of the surrounding towns and the valley. The town itself is peaceful, parking is easy and the location ideal for visits to the nearby towns of Spoleto, Spello and Assisi, among others. Our hosts Alessio and Alessandra were amazing! They are hospitable, friendly and so wonderful supplying an ongoing wealth of information about the region. If you are lucky enough to get the opportunity, do the Truffle Tour and dinner with Ricardo and Giulia – a fabulous experience. We have found new and special friends!

Ok, so if you want to experience authentic Italy, away from the crowd, surrounded by breathtaking views (both in nature and culture) with tasteful food: Look no further! Collepino is a very small village 600 metres high on the Mount Subasio. But it is highly lively! Its inhabitants are super friendly and welcoming. Then the house and the hosts: To start with the latter, Alessio and Alexandra are the most warm, friendly and hospitable hosts we have ever met on our trips! And they created such a warm and comfortable place where you feel at home right away... The walled garden gives you a sense of privacy although the restaurant is next door. The beds are much better than any hotel provides nowadays. Alexandra decorated the place not just beautifully, but with eye for the comfort of her guests. The place is spotless and feels very new and old at the same time. You can prepare your own dinner with spices from the garden, fill your water bottle with fresh mountain water coming through an ancient aquaduct, or go next door to the restaurant where they serve great Umbrian food. The Abate's garden house is the place to rest, relax and clear your mind: A place to enclose in your heart and - hopefully, to revisit some time again!

Alessio e Alessandra sono stati due ospiti perfetti, come del resto la loro splendida casa. Siamo stati accolti con calore e grande cordialità; attenti, puntuali, preparati e disponibili per consigliare cosa visitare e dove mangiare. La casa è veramente bellissima, confortevole e vivibilissima, difficile lasciarla! E' curata in ogni particolare e arredata con grande gusto; ogni cosa è al posto giusto e non manca veramente niente, il giardino, poi, è la ciliegina sulla torta. Il piccolo borgo di Collepino è molto carino e ci siamo sentiti subito a casa. Vacanza bellissima, grazie ragazzi!

We had a wonderful stay with Alessio in Collepino. The house is perfect, an absolute gem, spotless, amazing views over the countryside and so comfortable. Alessio has thought of everything for the comfort of his guests both in the house and the garden. The garden is stocked with aromatic plants and plentiful shade it was a pleasure to spend time relaxing in such a comfortable space. The house itself was also perfect with fly screens on every door and window, a well stocked kitchen and cool downstairs bedrooms with super comfortable beds. Collepino is a stunning place, quiet with a great restaurant and bar, what a relaxing few days. Alessio could not have been more helpful responding to all our questions and even booking the restaurant for our first night. We look forward to returning again. Grazie mille Alessio

We sincerely recommend staying in Collepino with Alessio & Alessandra and we thank them very much for their care and all the tips they give us. It was one of the best places we have visited. Living in an apartment or better to say, a historic house from the 16th century is an great experience. The Owner’s attention to details is unique and unprecedented. The place itself is unique and makes a great base for discovering interesting places in Umbria like Assisi or Spello. All descriptions on Airbnb are accurate but do not really reflect the uniqueness of this place. We sincerely recommend everyone to stay at Alessio and Alessandra’s great house. We surely will remember & return again.

Il Paradiso!! We had the good luck ( Fortunato) to be able to stay in Alessio’s and Alessandra’s very special Il Giardino del Abate as the first guests! Our 10 days flew by like a dream: from all the kind messages before arriving, to finally seeing the beautiful Borgho of Collepino perched high on top of a hill in a sea of green and then meeting Alessio and Alessandra in real life, entering the house via the garden and seeing that perfect Valley View: Paradise! The house was welcoming and super comfortable and excellent as a location to explore the many Borghi of the Valley: Assisi, Trevi, Montefalco, Spoletto, Todi and of course charming Spello itself! We absolutely loved our stay and can only say, go and book quickly, give yourself this present, you will not regret it!! Grazie Mille Alessio and Alessandra, you are truly the kindest hosts we have met!!! We will be back!!!

Collepino è un paese incantevole e la casa di Alessio è ampia, curata e dotata di tutti i confort. Ci sono due grandi stanze da letto con due bagni, un salone e una cucina. L’ospitalità di Alessio e sua moglie è stata eccezionale: ci hanno fornito tutte le indicazioni e tutto quello di cui avevamo bisogno nonché delle piacevoli chiacchierate. La casa è adatta anche ai bimbi piccoli, dotata di lettino e seggiolone.
